Tour the Horse Shepherd Equine Sanctuary at Gordon
Horse Shepherd Equine Sanctuary was founded by passionate animal lovers in response to the large number of horses passing through the saleyards, and into the hands of knackeries.
The Sanctuary moved to its current 275 acre property in Gordon in 2016, and now offers walking tours on Thursdays and Saturdays.
The walks are a fun and informative, and cover about 2.5km, depending on where the animals are, over about 1.5 to 2 hours.
And while the Sanctuary is not a petting zoo, you will have plenty of opportunities to interact with the animals.
