The Welcome to Moorabool website is a local initiative, run on a voluntary basis by a small team of creatives who live in the Moorabool area, headed up by writer and designer Dean Shannon.

We’ve found that while there’s plenty of interest in Moorabool, particularly from our city neighbours in Ballarat and Melbourne, this interest hasn’t been matched by quality information online (a common problem for rural areas!).

Our website aims to remedy this, connecting visitors to our area to the right attractions, dining and accommodation experiences, and highlighting to long term and new locals the areas of Moorabool magic that might have slipped their notice.
