Thank heaven for Millfield, which popped up early in 2024, filling the evening dining void left in Ballan by the closure of the dearly departed Great Western Hotel.

And what a job it’s doing! Cafe by day, restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights, Millfield has made its name with a smallish, but superbly executed breakfast and bistro menu

Try signature dishes like the twice-cooked-duck salad, house chicken wings, or on the lighter side, a delicious Ceaser salad.
