Millrose Quilting and Gallery a mecca for craft lovers

Our gorgeous township of Ballan offers much to see and do for crafty types, and Millrose Quilting and Gallery has become something of a mecca for the visiting quilting, sewing and knitting community.

Though even if you’re not terribly crafty, Millrose Quilting and Gallery is still well worth a visit.

Located in a beautifully refurbished former masonic hall, this local gem offers four rooms of quilting and dressmaking fabric (over 10,000 bolts!), knitting wools, threads and books. It’s a feast of colour, with fabrics from modern to reproduction styles, as far as the eye can see.

There are also classrooms for Millrose’s regular workshops, and on-site accommodation in the federation period house next door, purpose-restored for quilting retreats.
