The slogan, “Happiness is homemade” greets those lucky enough to make their way into Ballan’s much-loved Tin Plate Cafe.
It could just be the mission statement for the team at the Tin Plate, delighting locals and visitors with great coffee and a range of homemade pies, sandwiches and rolls, cakes and slices since 2013.
With its central location in the main street, the Tin Plate has become a local icon, and a must-visit for travellers.
Eat in (try the courtyard in the warmer months) or takeaway, breakfast to lunch Tuesday to Saturday, and there’s regularly updated vegetarian and vegan options too.
