Visit Ballan, Bacchus Marsh, Blackwood, Gordon, Greendale
Cherries, berries, stone fruits ripe for picking!
The Bacchus Marsh region has a well-earned reputation for the excellence of its fresh fruit and vegetables, and throughout the year local farms welcome visitors eager to get involved.
Bacchus Marsh’s Avenue of Honour (also known as Bacchus Marsh Road) is home to a number of the area’s key fruit and veg growers, and you’ll find it dotted with roadside stalls and farm gates where goods are available for purchase.
In the warmer months from November, cherries, strawberries and stone fruits such as peaches and nectarines are ripe for the picking and if you are willing to get your hands (mildly) dirty, there are a number of farms catering to those wanting to take to the paddocks and pick their own fruit. More
