Drive through or eat in at Ballan Bakehouse & Bar

Setting up shop in the former premises of the Great Western Hotel, Ballan Bakehouse & Bar is a fantastic addition to the local dining scene.

The newcomers opened their doors in early November 2025, offering drive-through service for a slew of our region’s best local produce: Karon Farm Coffee, Darley Bakery goods and Ballan Local Butcher meats.

The menu includes bakery favourites like salad, or pulled beef or pulled lamb rolls, and extends to more exotic selections such as a very tasty lentil and veg pie, or the popular Bangkok chicken pie.

And now you can eat in, with a sit-down Bar area freshly opened, and offering dinner until 8pm, Thursdays to Saturdays.
