Bacchus Marsh is set to host a big day of spoken word, storytelling and performance when the Australian Poetry Slam comes to Lerderderg Library.

The day begins with a free poetry slam workshop led by Jo Yang, giving emerging writers and performers the chance to explore performance poetry, sharpen their ideas and build confidence before stepping up to the mic.

Later in the day, local poets and performers will take part in the Moorabool Heat of the Australian Poetry Slam, sharing original work in front of a live audience.

Whether you’re a writer, performer, poetry lover or simply curious to experience something different, this is a great chance to enjoy a lively afternoon of words and creativity in Bacchus Marsh.
