Ballan Feast 2026 presents: Fantasy, a journey through Art, Food & Music!

Step into a world where imagination, symbol, taste and sound weave together in magical moments of beauty, joy and laughter, awakening the archetypes and emotions that connect us as human beings.

The day kicks off with an official opening at Ballan Library & Community Hub, then progresses through a viewing of exhibitions at our local galleries, before a Fantasy Feast Two-Course Meal at Ballan Bakehouse & Bar, and finally Whispers & Wonders: A Chamber Music Concert at Ballan Mechanics' Institute Hall from 3pm.

The Program

  • 10:30am: Ballan Library & Community Hub Official Opening

  • 11am: Wander through the Ballan Feast exhibitions across our village, all crafted to blur the line between the everyday and the enchanted.

  • 12:30pm: Ballan Bakehouse & Bar Fantasy Feast Two Course Meal.
    A delicious, whimsical escape awaits. Savour a luxurious two course meal by Graze Ballan, paired with your choice of a complimentary wine or soft drink. Enjoy the magic of the day with a hand-crafted chocolate gift to take home.
    Every guest receives a raffle ticket for the chance to win one of three Fantasy-inspired prizes valued at $200 (raffle drawn during lunch). All dietary needs catered for.

  • 3:00pm: Whispers & Wonders, A Chamber Music Concert at Ballan Mechanics' Institute Hall.
    This captivating performance takes listeners on an imaginative journey through secret gardens, strawberry thieves, foxes, romantic song and some beloved selections from The Sound of Music.
    The audience will enjoy rich selections of music by Prokofiev, Rachmaninov, Bozza, Australian composer, Sally Greenaway and a specially commissioned Ballan Feast work by Kenji Fujimura
    The concert will be followed by supper, wine and a chance to socialise with friends and musicians.
