Join Emilie Zoey Baker and Marieke Hardy at Bacchus Marsh Town Hall for an evening celebrating words, stories and the things we sometimes wish we’d said. Better Off Said is a spoken-word art salon from members of the team behind Women of Letters, presented in Moorabool as part of the Hide + Seek Arts Festival.

Four writers – Thuy On, Gurmeet Kaur, Clare Wright and Eloise Grills – will respond to the theme “The words I wish I’d said”, sharing thoughts, reflections and stories that might otherwise have remained unspoken. Cate Kennedy will deliver the evening’s Living Eulogy, celebrating someone or something still here to hear it.

Hosted by Emilie Zoey Baker and curated by Marieke Hardy, the salon concludes with live music from The Darlings Family Trust, rounding out an evening of storytelling, reflection and celebration.
