Green Tomato Chutney Off and Film Screening

  • St Martin's Chapel Martin Street Blackwood, Victoria, 3458 Australia (map)

Celebrate one of Blackwood's quirkiest community traditions at the Great Blackwood Green Tomato Chutney Off, a fun-filled afternoon dedicated to homemade chutney, local produce and a classic movie.

Whether you're entering your own famous green tomato chutney or simply coming along to enjoy the festivities, there will be plenty to see and do. Browse the chutney tasting, visit the Bloody Mary bar, enjoy face painting, watch the chutney judging and award presentations, then settle in for a screening of the much-loved film Fried Green Tomatoes. Proceeds from the event will help raise funds for the Blackwood Storm documentary project.

It's a uniquely Blackwood celebration that's equal parts competition, community gathering and country charm.

Saturday 27 June • 12pm - 4.30pm • St Martin's Chapel, Blackwood

Entry: $5 ($5 competition entry fee for chutney entrants). Admission includes the screening of Fried Green Tomatoes.
