Moorabool Light Orchestra presents Gothic

The Moorabool Light Orchestra heads to the darker side of the classical repertoire for Gothic, an afternoon of dramatic, mysterious and suitably atmospheric orchestral music at Bacchus Marsh Public Hall.

Conducted by Reuben Morgan, the program draws on some wonderfully Gothic musical territory, with works and themes associated with Saint-Saëns, Handel, Rachmaninoff, Mussorgsky and Tchaikovsky, alongside favourites from Swan Lake, The Phantom of the Opera and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

The orchestra will also be joined by guest violinist Connor Vincent, adding a featured solo performance to the afternoon’s program.

And the Gothic theme isn’t restricted to the music — there’ll also be a Best Dressed competition, so concertgoers are welcome to embrace the occasion and add a little Gothic flair of their own.
