Check out the Myrniong Military Muster happening on the first weekend of April!
The two-day event is billed as a show and shine for all club or registered and tracked military forms of transport.
Organiser Wayne Frisch of the Victorian Military Vehicle Corps says St Anne’s was chosen as the location so owners can get the vehicles moving around and drive them in their element.
Wayne, who is currently restoring a World War II Jeep formerly used by the Australian Army and the Australian Air Force, said along with jeeps, the event hoped to attract trucks and track vehicles plus some Dodge Weapons Carriers.
“We’re also hoping to get the Geelong Military Reenactment Group there with some vehicles and perhaps even an artillery piece.”
The event is open to all military vehicles, club or registered.
St Anne’s cellar door will be open both days from 10am with pizza and live music on Sunday afternoon.
Unpowered camp sites are available, and there are toilet facilities on site.
