Getting out and about with furry friends

The weather in March is still great for getting outdoors with your best furry friends! Here we have the lowdown on some of the best dog-friendly spaces across the Moorabool region.

• Plenty of room for furry friends at Jindarup

Enter via the dogs’ driveway and enjoy breakfast, a gourmet toastie or homemade cake with coffee at Jindarup Post Office Cafe, Blackwood

Proprietor Carol Guthrie said they have just finished renovations on the decked area at the rear, with a courtyard garden which is great for kids and dogs.

“We’re always very pleased to have dogs inside, we find them to be well-behaved and we make them feel comfortable,” she said.

• All welcome at Gordons at Gordon

Gordons at Gordon

Not only are dogs allowed inside Gordons on Gordon, there have also been visits from pet pigs, ponies and horses!

“A lot of people seek us out and bring their dogs - we have an elevated generous north-facing verandah and a paved side area, both with tables,” said Scott Graham.

If you enjoy generous servings of Arabic-influenced food, homemade felafel, meat and vegetarian options, with hearty salads, and friendly service, then you and your pets are warmly welcomed at Gordons.

• Courtyard for furry friends at Loot

Not many cafes in town have outdoor gardens but Loot Cottage Garden Cafe, Bacchus Marsh is an exception, and they are dog-friendly!

At the rear is a nice shady courtyard garden space where your pet can relax in a quiet peaceful environment.

Order breakfast, fresh sandwiches, baked potatoes, gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options, leaf tea and coffee with high quality milk alternatives.
