Fruit-picking season is getting underway in Bacchus Marsh, with Naturipe confirming two more days of strawberry picking this week. Supplies remain limited, while the region's cherry season is expected to begin later in November.
🍓 Strawberries: picking Thursday and Friday
Naturipe Fruits – Bacchus Marsh
Naturipe's Strawberry and Persimmon Farm, at 534 Bacchus Marsh Road, will open for pick-your-own and freshly picked strawberries on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 November, from 8.30am until sold out.
There are only limited quantities of ripe strawberries available, and the farm will close early once these have been picked or sold. Further opening dates have not yet been confirmed.
Strawberry production is expected to increase as the weather warms, generally reaching its peak around mid-November.
Visitors should bring cash, as EFTPOS is not available.

🍒 Cherries: coming soon
Naturipe Fruits, at 638 Bacchus Marsh Road, expects its main cherry farm to open in early to mid-November. It is currently closed, with no confirmed opening date.
Payne's Orchards, at 372 Bacchus Marsh Road, remains closed, with reopening expected during November.
Dellios Orchards, at 664 Bacchus Marsh Road, offers pick-your-own cherries, but no opening dates for the 2026/27 season have yet been confirmed.

Bacchus Marsh’s Avenue of Honour (also known as Bacchus Marsh Road) is home to a number of the area’s key fruit and veg growers, and you’ll find it dotted with roadside stalls and farm gates where goods are available for purchase.
And if you are willing to get your hands (mildly) dirty, there are a number of farms catering to those wanting to take to the paddocks and pick their own fruit.

Strawberries and other berries (November - April)
Cherries (November, December)
Apples (January - May)
Peaches and nectarines (December - February)
Apricots (January, February).
